NDC and MICEX SH to Represent Russian Financial Infrastructure at SIBOS 2009

“The National Depository Center” (Closed Joint Stock Company) (NDC) and MICEX Settlement House (MICEX SH), announced today plans for their participation at Sibos 2009, one of the biggest international forums for financial market participants. The two companies are to represent Russia’s settlement and depository infrastructure and to present new settlement services to international financial institutions.
Last year’s Sibos special program dedicated to Russia and the CIS countries aroused the interest of the international audience and confirmed the rising role of Russia and the CIS countries as priority partners. Sibos 2009 will also include a session that will be held on 15 September at 4pm, focused on Central Asia’s related issues (Central Asia: Ready for expansion?). The session will include the following topics:
- How can Moscow and Almaty, as financial centers, contribute to the expansion of the region?
- How can the financial institutions in the region support trade relations with Asia and China in the future?
With the goal of creating an international financial center in Moscow and of attraction investors in 2009 a regulatory framework has been improved with regard to the circulation of foreign securities in Russian market. This considerably expands opportunities for new settlement services development and Russian infrastructure’s integration into the global market. New settlement services, the adoption of ISO standards, and other further initiatives are to be presented and discussed at the Sibos special session “Russian settlement infrastructure.” The session will be held on 15 September at 2pm. NDC and MICEX SH invite the forum’s participants to visit the companies’ joint stand 3B13 on 15 September, 2009 at 5pm and to take part in a cocktail party. The guests will be able to continue discussion of topical issues and to get more information about two companies’ business.
